The purpose of this letter is to notify you that property in an area to which you provide service is included in a proposed annexation by the City of Troy, Texas. The area proposed for annexation is attached as Exhibit “A”.
Under state law, the City may annex the area after following certain notice and hearing procedures contained in Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government Code. State law establishes the procedure the City must follow to annex the area. City staff will prepare a proposed service plan describing the services the City will provide in the area upon annexation. The City Council will then hold two (2) public hearings to discuss the annexation and the service plan. The hearings will be held at Troy City Hall, 201 East Main Street, Troy, Texas 76579 at:
7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 5, 2012, and
7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 19, 2012.

Approximately 8.75 Acres of land Located in the Talleferro Hughes Survey, Abstract Number 385, and being all of that certain 8.75 acre tract of land described in a Warranty Deed to 5-D Investments, Inc. recorded in Volume 5560, page 285 of the Bell County Deed Records (less .449 of one acre of land conveyed to the Texas Department of Transportation for the widening of IH-35 in 2012); and
Approximately 39.31 acres of land out of the Rebecca Edwards Survey, Abstract No. 285, in Bell County, Texas and being all of that tract of land conveyed to Troy Partnership, Ltd.
